DAY 1: ARRIVAL – HOTEL / MOSHI TOWN
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Moshi town.
Meet your guide, transfer to hotel, check-in, gear briefing, and dinner.
Rest well to prepare for the trek.
Overnight: Hotel in Moshi
DAY 2: UMBWE GATE – UMBWE CAMP
After breakfast, drive to Umbwe Gate for registration.
The trek begins with a very steep climb through lush rainforest. The trail is challenging and muddy in places but offers spectacular scenery and fewer trekkers.

Overnight: Umbwe Camp
DAY 3: UMBWE CAMP – BARRANCO CAMP
Climb out of rainforest into heath and moorland.
Arrive at Barranco Camp, located at the base of the famous Barranco Wall.
Camp here provides rest and acclimatization before scrambling the Barranco Wall.
Overnight: Barranco Camp
DAY 4: BARRANCO CAMP – KARANGA CAMP
After breakfast, scramble up the Barranco Wall (non-technical but exciting climb).
Descend slightly into alpine valleys and trek to Karanga Camp.
Short day allows rest and acclimatization before summit push.
Overnight: Karanga Camp
DAY 5: KARANGA CAMP – BARAFU CAMP
A short hike to Barafu Camp, the final base for summit attempt.
Rest, hydrate, and prepare for the night climb.
Overnight: Barafu Camp
DAY 6: SUMMIT DAY – BARAFU → UHURU PEAK → MWEKA CAMP
Start the summit attempt around midnight.
Climb to Stella Point, continue to Uhuru Peak for sunrise 🌄.
Descend via Barafu to Mweka Camp for overnight rest.

DAY 7: MWEKA CAMP – MWEKA GATE / TRANSFER
Descend through rainforest to Mweka Gate.
Receive your summit certificate and transfer to hotel in Moshi or Kilimanjaro Airport for departure.
